Robert Bresson's 'Devil Probably' (1977) definitely isn't my favourite of his films (Pickpocket is in case you were wondering). Bresson didn't quite capture disillusioned youth very well at all for me. Most of the characters left me cold and depressing message of the film was unrelenting. At the "climactic" ending of the film I felt like I was Elaine from Seinfeld going to see the 'English Patient'. Paris in the 1970s must have been DARK.

This scene was pretty much the saving grace of the film. That and the characters excellent hairdos and beautiful blank editorial model faces.
