Playing favourites
Love Streams is my favourite John Cassavetes film.
Play it Again Sam is my favourite Woody Allen film.
Vivre Sa Vie is my favourite Jean Luc Godard film.
Surviving Desire is my favourite Hal Hartley film.
Metropolitan is my favourite Whit Stillman film.
I love all these directors and nearly all of their films - OK not really so into later Godard (post-1970 blues) because my attention span is not the Grand Canyon and my patience is not the Nile - but if I really had to pick these are my favourite of the favourites. Love you guys - don't go changing.
