Jealous? Jalouse.

Une Fille Comme Les Autres from Jalouse blog on Vimeo.

I love this and PS YES! I still want her hair, her outfits, and to live in France, BUT I wont' be buying Jalouse any time soon, 'cause really, who cares?

Matthew Frost, you are a bit of a genius.

I believe in love! I mean there's gotta be something for people to cling to besides TV right?

It was Gregg Araki's birthday on Saturday. I'm crap with friends b'days, hell my own parents are hard enough, so goes without saying, I totally didn't realise it was Gregg's.  Opening Ceremony did though! They curated a cute little dress in OC x screen cap ode that you can check here.

Seeing Gregg in conversation a TIFF Bell Lightbox was one of my all time fave events of the year - a year which included shaking Whit Stillman's hand, moving to Toronto, spending a month in Thailand with my best gal pal, going on a road trip to Detroit and visiting the Mo-town museum and seeing EMA, Louis CK, Malcolm Gladwell (and bajillion other peeps) live. So you know it was pretty good.

Being a princess isn't all it's cracked up to be

Photo of Princess Caroline of Monaco by Richard Melloul, 1982.

The weather at the moment is so rainy and changeable. This is exactly how I wish I was dressed every time it rains. Who woulda known she was a princess too?

You know what we should do? We should just get in your car right now, and just drive off. Just find some totally new place and start a whole new life. Fuck everybody.

Children of Marx and Coca-Cola

I don't know what it is with me and tote bags. Slap a photo of Karl Lagerfeld or a Sonic Youth album cover on it, and I'm literally shoving my money into your hand.

So far (and god knows how) I've resisted the Woody Allen and Winona Ryder ones. Methinks nothing worthy as yet perhaps? Although I couldn't resist a throwback FREE WINONA if one ever surfaced.

Long story short - I bought the 1st tote bag. I also bought it cause I wanted to post about it but was scared the "hundreds" of people who read my blog might buy it. Logic!

I also had had to physically restrain myself, from also buying the second - in a MOST practical shade of black. Why do we so rarely see black totes? Creamy totes get super-dirty super-quick yo!

To surmise - more black totes and Godard tote bags in general pls.

PS you can buy me the black one from here.

PPS can someone do a Woody Allen one in his signature font pls?

Girls on film

Not only offering a great take on Clothes On Film this site also offers a reading on costumes that makes me feel smart for wanting the above jacket for my very own (and Margot's Tenny dress) and waiting with baited breath for a reading on some of my faves including Heathers!

Knickers, Panties, Undies, etc

OK so I'm sure I'm not the only girl obsessed with this opening shot of Scar-Jo's bum in Sofia Coppola's 'Lost in Translation'. So obsessed in fact that I tried to find me own high waisted semi-sheer peachy pink cottontails - but y'know we always want the real thing right? Turns out they are Araks underwear brand and Sofia's been buying them ever since - there you go!

FYI these John Kacere paintings are what inspired the shot. Now all I need is to go to Japan and don a pink wig!

Prettier than when you smile

Yep this is pretty much my fashion vibe in my dreams. Sofia Coppola is like a non-smiling Audrey Hepburn. I don't really want the bag she's advertising for Louis Vuitton - who cares - I just want THAT cape/coat thing and those pants and no boobs so I too can wear round neck white t-shirts without looking like a pregnant mum from the 'burbs.
